You have a book inside you. Let me help you get it out. Every step of the publishing process, from your idea to your book in your hand.
I'm Elle Carter Neal, and I’ve edited well over a million words in the course of nearly fifteen years in this industry. I’ve also published three books of my own so far, and I've been a ghostwriter on numerous projects. I completed one of my manuscripts from start to finish while pregnant with my second child, and with a two-year-old in tow. And I have worked on complex editing jobs while holding and soothing a baby with chronic reflux. I have a wealth of strategies to share with you that will make your writing project come together much more easily than going it alone. I’ve made tons of mistakes over the years and learnt a lot of what I know the hard way – I want you to be able to take a shortcut and save yourself time and money so that your book can begin to work for you as soon as possible.
And I’d be thrilled to have your input in the development of the Fully Booked coursework.
I’m so excited about this because I think the Fully Booked programme will revolutionise the kind of coaching I can offer. You see, usually clients come to me looking for an editor… after they have spent months or even years plugging away at that book. And then we pick the whole thing apart. Don’t get me wrong – I have a hard-earned reputation as an editor who can work magic with what I’m given, changing as little as possible and avoiding lengthy rewrites.
But there has to be a better way.
And I’ve found it. A few years ago I started offering clients a brainstorming session whenever I discovered that they were struggling with writer’s block. But I know that I can do so much more. If I can jump in at the beginning – at certain key points of your planning and writing process and guide you, motivate you, and keep you on track, that book will be done so much quicker and easier… and the editing that follows will be much less brutal, because we don’t have to undo anything – only correct typos and improve the flow of your text.
And that’s not all. You have a polished manuscript – what do you do with it? How do you end up with a physical book in your hand? Instead of sending you off into the wilds of the publishing industry alone, I’m here for you during this phase, too. The internet age has granted us a vast number of publishing options, but it can be confusing and daunting. You could spend years wading through the conflicting information and advice that’s available out there – and much of that is tailored to authors navigating the much more established industries in the US and UK, and who have access to the innovative businesses that have sprung up to serve authors residing there. I’ll talk you through the viable options we have here in Australia – in fact we start with making this decision – and I’ll walk you through what I do when I publish my own books. You’ll have my systems and processes in neat step-by-step guidelines.
After all that, how will Fully Booked actually work? Well, the programme is in beta at the moment – and we’ve entered a second lockdown right as I’m launching this, so I’ll be a little busy helping my kids learn from home again. The beauty of this programme is that it is tailored to your needs – I assess where you are, and you jump in right where you need to be. So…
- It’s not one of those courses where you start at “Lesson 1” and have to wait weeks or months for the content that you actually need to be unlocked for you. The programme is cyclical – you start where you need to start. If you’ve already finished the first (or second, or third) draft of your book, then we can begin with polishing the manuscript to make it publication-ready. Or you might even be at the stage of designing a cover and preparing files to send to a printer and distributor.
- You can work at your own pace, so as you finish with each phase and have worked through the processes, you will move on to the next phase. This means that the faster you work, the quicker you write your book, the less the programme will cost you. And I think that’s a fabulous incentive to keep writing, get it done, and get it out there and working for you.
- I’m sure you’ve experienced courses that are hours and hours of video content that you have to sit through… and then, when you come to actually apply the principles being taught, goodness help you if you haven’t been keeping notes of which video and at what timestamp you need to re-watch in order to follow the instructions. Fully Booked is not like that. At the front, you have me or a trained member of my team helping you with exactly what it is you’re working on. I’m giving you a system of processes in easy-to-follow bullet-point format, and where I assess that you need more coaching I’ll provide you with modules in the course that will help you succeed. Each week you’ll get access to any video/audio and/or written explanations and information for the action step you’re on, and a check-in to ensure that you’re on track for success.

Once it is all up and running, the monthly membership of Fully Booked will launch at $297 per month… BUT
I’m starting the Legacy Student intake with a trial month at just $47, and thereafter $127 per month for your first year with me.
For the cost of a family outing you can’t even have right now, you get two hours of my time each month focused on your book, coaching you through your planning and writing, helping you decide what to include and how to structure it, identifying areas for improvement, and advising you on formatting, cover design, and your publishing path. Remember, you can cancel your membership whenever you feel you no longer need my help.
Places are limited, so let me know straight away if you’re interested so I can reserve you a spot.
I know this year has been hard on a lot of people, and the full programme might not be in your budget. I've outlined some other options that could work for you, here.
Creating something from nothing more than your thoughts and ideas is a truly magical process. I can’t wait to start helping you with your book. There’s still time to do something amazing this year.
